Just complete this “Row” Quilt which will inspire our next Block of the Month session. If you have wanted to learn to quilt, Quilt As You Go is the way to go! It is a method of quilting that allows you to quilt entirely on a domestic sewing machine….no need to load your quilt onto a frame and hand quilt….or send it out to a long-arm quilter to finish for you. You can do it all right on your home sewing machine. How much fun is that???!!!!! Tons of fun…trust me. Watch for our Row Quilt class beginning soon. And if you missed out on getting in on the Quilt As You Go Sampler Quilt class we have another beginning in October. Check it out here. Join us and learn this method of quilting.

I just made this panel quilt for my good friend, Carol Ann. Klimt is her favorite painter and she loves the painting, “The Kiss”, so when I saw this panel at a quilt shop last year I bought it with her in mind. Her birthday was this past month so I pulled the panel out of my stash along with some fabrics that I liked with it and whipped up this panel quilt. She loved it! 🙂 Panel quilts are a great way to make a fast quilt. We have a class coming up at The Studio on August 30th to teach you what you need to know to design your own panel quilt. The rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of this enthusiastic group of painters as Susie hosted a Barn Quilt Paint Party at her home in Rockland yesterday for her family and friends. It was rainy but look at the bright and beautiful colors these painters chose to paint. Terrific!!!! Nice work all around.

Nothing feels quite as good as getting your sewing space organized. It seems like it doesn’t take much time to get all scrambled and several times a year I have to take a day to get all the fabrics arranged again and tools put back in their places. It helps me to be able to find what I need. Lincoln seems happy about it. Now to start pulling some fabrics for the next project. WooHoo!
