More Beautiful Quilts

It’s been inspiring to see so much beautiful work. The Quilt Show was a nice break from work. Now to get home and start on some projects from the supplies we picked up.

For the last few months I have worked on quilts for Christmas gifts. Even though I live in Virginia now I will always be a Georgia girl and while shopping at Joann’s Fabrics I saw this “Georgia State” fabric. I asked the clerk why they had Georgia fabric in Virginia and she said she suspected that some store in Georgia must have a shipment of Virginia fabric. LOL! I bought enough to make quilts for several family members back home. They all liked them. I loved the fabric designs with peaches, flip flops and outlines of the state. Take a close look.

A Panel Quilt with Cats

Still having a great time with fabric….making quilts. This one has a pre-printed panel of amazing cats! We are adding fabric borders to make a great little quilt. There are tons of pretty patterns out there. We’ll have a session at The Studio soon so watch for it.

The Top of Virginia Quilters has me come to their meeting yesterday to talk about Barn Quilts.  It was a delightful group of ladies and I enjoyed my visit with them.  Thanks Susan for inviting me to come.  And the very best part was the show and tell at the end of the meeting.  These quilters are GOOD!!!
