The Studio is closed today through next Tuesday in observance of Independence Day. We are taking a little time off to recharge and visit with family. We’ll be back on our regular schedule next Wednesday. In the meantime, have a great long Holiday weekend and remember the real reason we celebrate this day and read (or reread) the Declaration of Independence. You can see it here.

Just put together this cute baby quilt using an ABC panel for my friend, Leah. It’s for her first grandbaby. I love keeping panels in my stash for quick gifts needs that pop up.

This week I have been working on some simple quilt designs for our upcoming Sewing Camp. In this session the kids will be making a traditional quilt instead of the Rag Quilts that we have made in the past. It will be lots of fun and informative. If you have a young person ages 8 -16 that is interested in learning to sew and/or quilt be sure to check out this session of Sewing Camp here.

Pat and Janet are making great progress on their Row Quilts. Yesterday they worked on a Sawtooth Variation. They look great! I can’t wait to see these quilts put together. They are going to be fabulous!

Kids and Koi

Lincoln checked out the final animal painting of this session of Art Camp….Koi! Everyone did a great job with their paintings this week. What a fun group of young artists. There are a few more sessions of camp this summer. Check out the schedule here and register your young painter.

Our Art Campers spent time yesterday learning more about blending. They did a great job with the Daisies and Ladybugs and because they have been doing so well they had time to add a little butterfly painting too! Nice everyone!!!!! One more day of camp today. Such Cute Foxes

Remember back in March when we took that epic road trip to Missouri for fabric acquisition? (Read more about it here.) Well, I designed a quilt that features a block that represents each of the states that we stopped and shopped in along the way. I call it Road Trip 2023. Here is my version of the quilt using fabric that I purchased on the trip. I just finished the top yesterday and plan to send it out to be quilted. I gave each of the quilters who went on the trip this pattern and I know a couple of them are making there own versions of the quilt. I can’t wait to see how they turn out.
