We had a nice afternoon at The Studio yesterday working with this group of Girl Scouts as we helped them with a mixed media and drawing project so they could achieve their Drawing Badge. Nice work by everyone with these paper, paint and bead paintings.

Large LandscapesWe painted really large canvases at The Studio yesterday.  We’d had a request to do a landscape in a large format after we did the large abstracts.  So this is the one we did.  It’s a view of the mountain looking south from Belle Grove.  What a great job everyone did on it.  I think they would all agree that painting large is FUN!

March Tulip ViewThis is the painting that we will be doing next month for the 1st Saturday Paint Party (and probably again later in the month because the first party looks like it will sell out).  I love putting our beautiful mountain view into paintings that we do.  We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.  It makes for really nice art!

Plus this one will help us welcome in the spring after such a cold winter.

The Holiday Invitational continues at the Blue Ridge Arts Council on Main Street in Front Royal.  The show features work by two teachers, Terri Nicholson and myself.
