Modern Picasso Week 2At Art Camp yesterday at The we continued to study Modern art.  Pablo Picasso was our focus.  We painted “Child with Dove” from 1901.  The girls did an amazing job on this one.  We talked about how this piece was done in the beginning of his “Blue” period and that it sold in 2012 for $58 million.  They said they probably wouldn’t sell their paintings.  LOL!  And we do get a bit messy when painting, some more so than others.  This is Sloan who has been painting with me for several years.  She just can’t help getting it all over her arms.  Sloan

20180624_171904.jpgYesterday we had another terrific day creating art at Belle Grove in Middletown.  We painted the beautiful view from the front of the mansion.  There is not a bad view out of any window of the house but the view from the front porch is AMAZING.  And we had 14 painters who enjoyed painting their versions of it.  20180624_171959.jpgGreat work everyone!  It was so much fun working with you.  We all enjoyed it so much that we are planning to hold a few more painting events there soon.  Stay tuned.

Yesterday was such a wonderful day at Belle Grove.  I started out with a group painting a little wildflower painting.  They were delightful and we had such a nice time.

Then it was back over in the afternoon for the “Meet the Artists” reception at the mansion.  This year Belle Grove offered the art of Wayne Laws, Sally Veach and me (Kelly Walker)!  It was so fun to see art in the mansion.  It is still going on until close today so if you are over Middletown way you have to stop in and see it.
