As much as I hate to put Christmas paintings up this early I do have to paint them early enough to set up classes and give people time to plan to attend the Paint Parties.  So here are two “Holiday Cheer” paintings that we will be doing at the December 1st Paint Party at 2 pm. (Click here to register for it.) Painters will have their choice of shapes and colors.  And as a bonus, when we finish the paint party it will be time for the annual Christmas Parade and we can watch it from the porch of The Studio.  Sounds like fun, huh??!!

Large Florals

 

We’ll be painting large florals in a vase again very soon.  Start thinking about your favorite colors and compositions and we’ll get started soon.  These are fun and will let you loosen up your work and select your own designs and colors.

On the recent trip to North Carolina we saw many, many barns with lovely Barn Quilts gracing them.  I love the look of a  pop of color attached above the door or to the side of a barn or shed.  They are wonderful pieces of Folk Art.  I think we should make some soon for our barns and sheds.  Start thinking about where you can put yours.
