Abstract Feb 2020 group We had our large abstract painting class last night and these ladies didn’t come to play!  They were ready with ideas and ready to create!  And boy did they!!!!  Amazing representational abstract pieces came out of last nights class.  Here is a photo of Michelle’s at work and her finished piece. Large Abstract Feb 2019We have two exciting classes coming up this weekend.  On Friday, we are holding the Large Abstract Class again.  Always a popular one especially if you have a large space that needs a piece of art or a pop of color.  In the past many beautiful pieces have be created.  We have space for three more painters so click here and register now!

wp-1578575196703.jpgYesterday at Kid’s Art class we had a smaller group because school was out for snow…and we like those days because we can try something different.  We learned about negative painting.  We started our painting by using a paper towel to dab colors onto our canvas like an abstract and then painted out everything on the edge to shape a bird.  The kids loved the change and so did I.

Abstract Beauty

20190328_205805.jpgAbstracts are fun and often fast to paint.  We had a fun painting these on Tuesday.  People are always surprised that with a few tips and a little help they can create some amazing works of art.  Great job everyone….and Lincoln helped!

Abstract RoundThis is a demonstration piece recently done for a class.  Abstract painting is interesting.  Everyone thinks it’s easy but to make a successful abstract it takes more than just slapping paint on the surface.  It’s one of those things that everyone should try at least once.

20180221_2042182031123640.jpgLast night at our Adult’s Art Class we all decided to get loose and paint abstracts.  Thanks Marie for the push!  It was great fun.  We watched a short Bobblast video for inspiration…we love Bob Burridge!  And off we went, painting away.  This is my Big Bird…. a representational abstract piece.  It was fun!

Ethan’s Abstract

20170601_071211 Michele has been working on this gorgeous abstract painting for a couple of weeks at class.  Sometimes we all need to paint an abstract to loosen up and get our creative juices flowing.  That is what Michele did and it turned out amazing.  Great work!
