We painted this neat “Ornaments on a Branch” last night at the Paint Party at The Studio. Look at what a great job everyone did! We had a lot of “family” action too….a mother with her three grown kids; an aunt with nephew, and a mother-daughter. It’s a fun way to spend family time. We have another opportunity to paint this one this Thursday at 6 pm. Register here.

And you asked for it so here it is….another one scheduled on January 8th. And the best part….all the fabrics are flannel with Cats or Dogs motif. You know I LOVE these. Register early because we are very limited in space for these workshops. Click here for more info and to register for the January 8th workshop.

We had a great time creating holiday gifts and crafts at The Studio on Saturday! These kids did a wonderful job getting several projects done including our terrific reindeer. Don’t you just love him? We had so much fun that we are doing another one on Sunday, December 11th at 1 pm…. we’ll do some different projects this time….but they’ll be just as cute. Sign up your young person here. It’s great for ages 6-12.
Self Striping is Great!

I am in love with the Caron Cakes self-striping yarn. It’s amazing! I just completed this shawl/wrap out of the Caron Cakes Red Velvet yarn. It’s beautiful and I didn’t change the color one time. It striped all by itself! For those of you who knit or crochet know why I am so excited about this wonderful yarn. Plus it’s soft and the colors are wonderful. The yarn was originally suppose to be available for only 3 months in Michaels Stores as a special Birthday Yarn for the Caron 100th Anniversary. But everyone LOVED it so it’s going to continue to be available. Yeah! I can’t wait to try another colorway.

This week at our regular weekly art classes we had several painters finish the pieces. And they all did great work! I love that at our weekly classes each painter is working on whatever they like….I get to see some wonderful art that way. We have Nancy with her Geraniums from a photo taken on a trip; Cecilia and her elephants; and Catherine with her daughter’s Boxer. Beautiful work ladies!

The recent Super Moon inspired some paintings this past week. Here is my miniature version of the moon peaking around the mountain. This one is 5″x7″ and is SOLD. We will have several miniature paintings available (as well as regular paintings and items from other teachers from The Studio) at the Holiday Artisan’s Market and Ugly Sweater Contest on Sunday, December 4th at 2- 5 pm. Be sure to come by.
