A New Shawl

I love shawls.  I don’t know why but I really do.  They are the perfect things to drape over your shoulders while watching TV or to go under a coat on a really cold day.  Here is the latest one I made.  It’s all done with one skein of Lion Brand Cupcake yarn in the Mint Chip color.  I love self-striping yarn!  It makes it look like I really worked hard.  LOL

The Challenge

I am in love with the Caron Cakes self-striping yarn.  It’s amazing!  I just completed this shawl/wrap out of the Caron Cakes Red Velvet yarn.  It’s beautiful and I didn’t change the color one time.  It striped all by itself!  For those of  you who knit or crochet know why I am so excited about this wonderful yarn.  Plus it’s soft and the colors are wonderful.  The yarn was originally suppose to be available for only 3 months in Michaels Stores as a special Birthday Yarn for the Caron 100th Anniversary.  But everyone LOVED it so it’s going to continue to be available.  Yeah!  I can’t wait to try another colorway.
