The artists who take regular art classes each week at The Studio are working to improve their skills.  Each one chooses their subject matter and get help individually from wherever they are to move their art forward.  Marie is a very good painter who did a fabulous job on these interesting and colorful trees and dog that she put together from several photos.  Nice work Marie!  One of the best things an artist can do for their art is to improve their color mixing skills.  Check out our upcoming workshop at The Studio on Color Mixing.  Click here for info.

WOW! The Eyes Have It

20170713_180640All I can really say is WOW!  Logan, who you’ve seen me blog about many times over the years as she has been painting with me since she was very young, has just completed this amazing painting from a photo from Chinatown.  She did an excellent job!  She is fearless and will try just about anything.  Great work Logan.  So proud of what a great painter and friend you have become!!!

20170713_180724This summer we have enjoyed meeting grandchildren who have been visiting our friends.  And we especially glad that they came to The Studio to paint.  This week I was delighted to work with Courtney.  She is our friend Linda’s granddaughter visiting from Maryland.  She chose to paint Van Gogh’s Sunflowers and she did a fantastic job.  Come visit us again soon Courtney!

The Boys Paint!

Yesterday was a day for boys to paint at The Studio. First Gayl had her nephews with her this week for class and they got to do a special painting from photos they took at Dinosaur Land.  Didn’t they do great?  And then Ethan was her for art class and painted my favorite little trailer.  I love these.
