We always try to do fun paintings at kid’s class each week but we also try to learn about styles and types of work too. This week we talked about illustrative painting. We even talked about creating a story to go with our painting. Cool cats!

The kids created these AWESOME paper collage cats in class over the past two weeks. It was a big project and they did GREAT!!! But Lincoln refused to be seen with so many “cats”! LOL

Still having a great time with fabric….making quilts. This one has a pre-printed panel of amazing cats! We are adding fabric borders to make a great little quilt. There are tons of pretty patterns out there. We’ll have a session at The Studio soon so watch for it.

The group of painters last night created some beautiful representations of Steinlen’s Black Cats last night. They look super! The next Famous Painter night will be September 24th at 6 pm. We will be painting Hopper’s Sailing from 1911. Join us by clicking here for more info and to register.
