Main St Travel 8 ChairsThe Main Street Travel mural got chairs yesterday.  Now that everything is laid in I can go back and start with some details.  Still several more hours to get done but it’s coming along.  Just hoping to get it all done before they put carpet on the floor so I don’t have to be “extra” careful.  🙂

I spent most of yesterday painting a mural at Main Street Travel.  (You can check out their Facebook page here.)

I enjoy mural painting.  It’s fun to see the client’s vision come to life.  And Ginny is a wonderful person for which to work.  She and I had fun deciding what and where to put it.  You can see from the photos my step by step work yesterday.

I got the background in:  sky, ocean and sand.  Today I hope to get the rest done:  palm trees and Adirondack chairs.

Edward Hopper (July 22, 1882 – May 15, 1967) was a prominent American realist painter and printmaker. While he was most popularly known for his oil paintings, he was equally proficient as a watercolorist.  Both in his urban and rural scenes, his spare and finely calculated renderings reflected his personal vision of modern American life.  See more here.

Calder Mobile

Calder Mobile

Alexander Calder ( July 22, 1898 – November 11, 1976) was an American sculptor known as the originator of the  mobile, a type of kinetic sculpture made with delicately balanced or suspended components which move in response to motor power or air currents.
