We had a great fundraiser for Living Water Christian Churches Mission Fund last night. Everyone did a great job painting this fall scene. Beautiful work for a great cause!

I recently drove out to The Farm at Clover Hill....a great little a new flower farm offering beautiful cut flowers. You can cut your own or they will cut for you. And the flowers are gorgeous. I am hoping to have a paint class out there soon……maybe when it cools off a little outside. Be sure to check them out and go cut some flowers soon. I got some lovely sunflowers that I created this painting using as reference and also some zinnias that I hope to paint today.

What a fun family birthday party at The Studio yesterday. Rylee’s 12th Birthday was a blast as we painted sunflowers. She has been one of my summer art camp kids and she and her friends showed off their skills to the rest of the family. Such lovely work!!! I enjoyed the drive over to Woodbine Farm Market a few weeks ago. The sunflowers were so pretty as was the view. Since so many people locally have enjoyed the sunflowers this year this might be a great one to paint at a party. See photos from the visit here.

The youngest artists painted just like Van Gogh yesterday as they created beautiful sunflower paintings. Lincoln liked them!

At our Fabric Painting class yesterday we made some amazing creations. Mary’s jacket and Wilma’s bag are beautiful. We’ll do this again in the fall so gather up a jacket or jeans, etc. and be ready.

Yesterday at Art Camp we painted Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. The kids created beautiful paintings while we discussed Van Gogh’s style of work. It was so much fun and these kids were so proud of their art! If you have a young camper check out the upcoming Art Camp sessions here. Â

 The family group returned yesterday for another session of painting and once again, they did great! They painted the family dog, a big sunflower and a big abstract flower. Very nice work!!!! They are going to have nice pieces to take back home to Kentucky.
