With all the game playing and museum visiting you wouldn’t think we would have had time to get much accomplished….but just look at all the great projects we made. Stitch & Bit@& Retreat VI

I’ve missed several days of posting here as I was out of town for our sixth Stitch & Bitch Retreat out at Shenandoah River State Park. We always have such a great time. We sew, crochet, knit, eat, drink, share ideas and play games. The games are a highlight. We play “Strip” Poker using jelly roll strips and the winner gets a ton of them and has to make something and then share. Sometimes it’s scary to win. LOL! We played Left, Right, Center and the winner got to choose from a ton of great sewing/quilting prizes. And you can tell by the photos that there was a lot of joking and laughing going on.

Stitch & Bitch V Was Best Ever

Stitch & Bitch V was the best retreat we have ever had. I don’t know if it was the combination of people, the projects we were working on, the food and games, or just what led to it but this was by far the most fun we have had at a retreat. And we CAN NOT WAIT to do it again. We will on Feb 2-6, 2023. I think most everyone will return but just in case they can’t be sure to let me know if you want to be added to the wait list. We always give the people who were at the last retreat the first right of refusal for the next but if they can’t attend we open it to the wait list. And trust me, you don’t want to miss this!!!!!

Quiet Before the Storm

It’s the quiet before the storm….storm of sewing, that is! The Quilter’s Retreat started yesterday afternoon and while I didn’t get here till early evening I tried to catch up by sewing until 11 pm. And now, as usual, I am the first one up. I just can’t seen to sleep past 5 am. It’s kind of nice in the quiet minutes before all the machines fire up. I can’t wait to see what everyone is doing! Fabulous group of stitchers went all in for 3 days of sewing, quilting and crocheting at the Shenandoah River State Park this past weekend. We had SO MUCH FUN!!!!
