The Studio

 Paint Parties are more fun than we can even describe.  There are three types – Open Parties where anyone can register and attend; Private Parties organized by a group or person for invited guests; and Kids Parties.  Several Open Paint Parties  are held each month.  You can click here to see upcoming events.  Check back often as we add new ones frequently.  They are open to anyone who wants to paint.  Sign up is on a first come-first serve basis so register early. The cost is $35-45 depending on the subject we are painting and the size of the canvas.  

At a paint party you will discover your creativity!  This is not your average franchise paint & sip. This is an art party where you actually get instruction and paint a canvas worthy of framing and hanging in your home.  PLUS it’s fun!   We’ll guide you through step by step as you create your very own masterpiece.  No Experience Required!

Bring a few friends, some refreshments and enjoy some time with friends while you receive instruction to paint your very own masterpiece!

We’ll provide everything you need: aprons, paint, canvas, brushes,  and all other painting supplies.  You bring your own bottle of wine or your favorite beverage of choice and snacks to munch on as well.

You’ll follow along with an experienced and enthusiastic artist who will help you create your painting. You go home with your personal masterpiece and a new-found talent to explore…along with lots of great memories to share!

Paint parties are 2 to 3 hours long depending on the subject matter.  They are perfect for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, date night, mother/daughter parties, family reunions, red hat society, church groups, book clubs, fundraisers, girl or boy scouts or any other groups looking for fun.

WHERE ARE THE PARTIES HELD?  Parties are held at The Studio-A Place for Learning, 105 East Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia or we can come to your location with prior arrangement.  To have the party at your location will costs a little more (approx. $5 per person) if it’s in the Front Royal area.  Just be sure you have plenty of space for the painters and REALLY good lighting.

WHAT DO I WEAR?  Dress  comfortably.  We will provide aprons, but the aprons don’t cover completely so maybe wear a little something older!

DO I TAKE MY PAINTING HOME AT THE END OF THE PARTY?   Yes, your painting will be dry. We will be using acrylic paint and it dries quickly.

I HAVE NEVER PAINTED BEFORE. SHOULD I COME?  Absolutely! This is for fun and to help you explore something you may not have tried before. Chances are very good that there will be others in the room who have not painted before either!  This is not a test, you will not be judged. Remember it’s a “Party”.  There will be step-by-step instruction and plenty of room for your own creativity too. Our goal is to provide a relaxed, creative environment where you can relieve some stress, experiment with paint and have FUN!  And in the process possibly discover a hidden talent!

CAN I BRING FOOD AND DRINKS?  Yes, please do! This is a party! We provided everything you need for the painting portion of the party and you bring munchies and a bottle or glass of your favorite beverage whether its wine, beer, or soft drinks.

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?   Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover and American Express as well as cash and checks.  Registration is online so when you see a class or party you wish to attend be sure to click the ticket link and register because many classes sell out fast.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?  We know that things come up sometimes.  Please NOTIFY us 48 hours before the party time to cancel for a full refund.   Cancellations after 48 hours or “No Shows” will be charged the party fee unless  we have a wait list for the party and someone takes your space. Then you may get a refund.

HOW DO I BOOK A PRIVATE PAINT PARTY?  All you need is a group of people interested in having fun.  Contact Kelly at kwalker@kellywalkerstudios.com or call 540-683-9688 to schedule your party.  There is a minimum of 10 painters required for a Private Paint Party in order to receive the normal paint party fee.  We can accommodate up to 18 painters. We will hold parties with less than 10 painters but the fee will be more per person.  If you have a larger group just  let us know and we will make every effort to set it up.  A $100 deposit is required to hold a date for a private party due when you schedule.  The cancellation policy for private parties is 10 days in advance to have your full deposit returned.  You can select the subject matter and we will work to accommodate your choice.

HOW MUCH DOES A PAINT PARTY COST?  Paint Parties are $35-45 per person based on the subject matter, the canvas size, and the number of painters.  Our maximum number is 18 painters.  Fee includes all the supplies you need to create your “masterpiece”.  If you choose to paint something other than a design that you find on our site there may be a design fee to create a sample painting.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO ATTEND A PAINT PARTY?   At least 13 years old for adult parties.  Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also painting. Anyone bringing alcohol must be at least 21 years of age.   We offer kids parties for ages 5 thru 14.  (Kids parties start at $225 for up to 10 painters. We can accommodate 16 kids to paint.  Inquire by emailing kwalker@kellywalkerstudios.com)  These make great birthday party events and everyone who participates gets something to take home with them!

WHEN DO I TAKE MY PAINTING HOME?   At the end of party! You take your creation home with you to enjoy.  (Frames are not included in the party fee, however, some frames may be available for purchase.)

DO YOU OFFER PARTIES FOR KIDS?     Yes!!! We offer kids parties for ages 5 thru 14.  Kids parties start at $225 for up to 10 painters. We can accommodate 18 kids to paint.  If you will have more than 10 painters we can give you prices for additional painters.  Inquire by emailing kwalker@kellywalkerstudios.com .   These make great birthday party events and the birthday boy or girl can choose the subject that we paint!  Plus no need for guest gift bags because everyone who participates gets a beautiful painting to take home with them!
