We missed all the summer camps but I would really like to paint something with my granddaughter who is five. Do you do that?
We have this coming up soon for young painters and adults to do together. https://squareup.com/store/thestudio/item/sept-th-painted-acorns
OMG this is amazing! These kids’ paintings really speak to me. I can see lots of creativity and emotions involved in the painting. So what about teenage classes? I want my 15 year old son to perfect his skill.
Are you local?
Hi Kelly,
This past summer, I introduced my students to the art of Mel Bochner, and, to my surprised, they were all (15!) very receptive to his approach to “portraits” for example. In my humble opinion, contemporary art/artists are not to be underestimated; they are what is going to make life beautiful as the next generation of great artists.
Art badly needs emotion and sensitivity to survive the information era…
Cool. I find that they love to study and recreate works of art that are well know. And they are fearless!
I have a technical question for you. Do you pre-draw the basic objects for the students, then guide them in painting?
For the young artists class – ages 5-12 – yes, I draw the outline on the canvas. For the older kids, they draw.
I am amazed, high level teaching u are professional, keep like that

Thank you Myssa!
I love looking at your students’ work! Great job Kelly!
Thanks Linda!
I sent the summer information to Rachel. I know she wants to work with you when she comes down. I’m not sure the details as the plans seem often to be last minute. Mary Anne
