Art Camp at The Studio started yesterday with these 4 great young painters (and Lincoln) as they painted these cute little geese in a lavender field. We are exploring animals in this 2 day camp. We have lots more great sessions coming up this summer. Check out the schedule here and register your young artists. And don’t miss the sewing camps too. We wrapped up this summer’s season of Art Camp with the beautiful Georgia O’Keeffe Calla Lily. Didn’t these young painters do fabulous work???!!! Great job! Now that camp is over we will be publishing a schedule of kid’s events for the rest of the year soon. Watch for it and bring your young painters to create some more wonderful work.

At the final day of “Nature: Flowers and Trees” Art Camp we painted a vase of representational abstract flowers using three techniques. First we painted the background and vase with brushes. Then we used paper towels to lay in the flower shapes. Then we finished them using finger painting. Boy, was that fun!!!! Great job by this group of young painters. We have just one session of Art Camp left this summer and it is for ages 5-7. Click here to register your young painter.

Art Camp continued with our nature theme yesterday as we painted a beautiful tree with an old tire swing. The kids did an amazing job. Don’t you love them???!!! And then, because this group is so attentive we had enough time left at the end of the session to paint these cute little chocolate chip cookie bonus paintings. Nice!!!
