With all the game playing and museum visiting you wouldn’t think we would have had time to get much accomplished….but just look at all the great projects we made. A Fast Crochet Hat

Last night my good friend and neighbor, Debbie, came over to learn to make a granny square in crochet.  She’s a  marvelous knitter but she wants to do more crochet so she is practicing.  While getting her going I worked on a hat and whipped up this cute number.  It actually has a granny square in the top and then I turned it into a round for the hat.  With the big cabbage rose and leaves on the side, I am liking it a lot!  I may keep this one for myself.

I just made these three hats for an upcoming class at The Studio on how to make the perfect hat with the perfect fit for anyone.

I wish when I first started crocheting accessories that someone had given me these tips.  Boy, it would have made life easier!  Keep watching for the date for this informative class.

IMG_20140414_075357I had a customer suggest that I make some of the crocheted hats in cotton yarn for the summer.  Here is a start.  And I wrote the pattern out too. I will post it tomorrow along with the new Crochet page with other patterns.

Notice the variations in the three  hats shown here.  They all use the same pattern but using a different stitch for a couple of them.  It’s fun to play around with the pattern so feel free to do your own thing.
