We had a nice afternoon at The Studio yesterday working with this group of Girl Scouts as we helped them with a mixed media and drawing project so they could achieve their Drawing Badge. Nice work by everyone with these paper, paint and bead paintings.

I am always curious to see large wall space art in hotels and office buildings. These installations have to be attractive as well as fill large spaces. In the case of the place we are staying right now one wall is covered with a series of smaller pieces with what appears to be different designs on handmade paper. It is quite lovely. Learn from art wherever you are!

We had a “Painting with Paper” class at The Studio yesterday and so many people created beautiful art. Â We had flowers and fish and elephants and buffaloes and foxes and roosters and more! Â What a fun day.
Denise Kupiszewski from The Mud Peddler in Shepherdstown came to teach us this fun form of art. Â And the good news is she agreed to come back next month so if you missed out this time you still have an opportunity.
