Our first Block of the Month quilt is completed. At least my sample is done. The first two classes who have been making these blocks will be finishing theirs in the next couple of months. They have almost finished the blocks and will be learning how to put them together. This has been such a fun project. The “Quilt As You Go” method is a great way to learn to quilt on a domestic sewing machine. If you are interested in learning to quilt or maybe you quilt but would like to learn a new technique then this is for you. We have a new Block of the Month session starting on Saturday, June 18th. Don’t you want to join us? Check it out here and register early. We are limited to six for these classes so register early.

Back in September we started our Block of the Month classes. The two groups have been learning how to make different block designs each month. Wow! What fun we had yesterday as we held our first Block of the Month session. We had so much interest in this project that we had to hold two sessions! A Block of the Month series offers a chance for quilters to learn new skills and techniques. It’s typically structured in a way that teaches a new block each month, for a total of 12 blocks. At the end of the year, these blocks can be sewn into a sampler quilt! Each month we will explore a different block pattern getting hands-on instruction for each block. We will be using some traditional block patterns as well as some modern ones. I can’t wait to see these beautiful quilts come together! Great work ladies. See you next month!
