We had a “Painting with Paper” class at The Studio yesterday and so many people created beautiful art. We had flowers and fish and elephants and buffaloes and foxes and roosters and more! What a fun day.
Denise Kupiszewski from The Mud Peddler in Shepherdstown came to teach us this fun form of art. And the good news is she agreed to come back next month so if you missed out this time you still have an opportunity. Keep an eye out on The Studio calendar for the next class as well as other great classes coming up. Click here for the schedule.
A fun Poppy Paint Party with family and friends at The Studio yesterday. Job well done!!!
One of my favorite Paint Party students, Liz, set up a private party for her support group and friends on Monday. They painted hydrangeas. Many of them had never painted before…and they loved it….and did GREAT! Good job everyone.
We had a delightful group of ladies from Lake Frederick that painted hydrangeas yesterday at The Studio. What fun we had….and they created these beautiful paintings. Nice work everyone!!! Hope to paint with you again soon.
We wrapped up this session of Art Camp with a lovely, large painting of Van Gogh’s “Vase with Carnation and other Flowers”, originally painted in 1886. This is one you don’t see very often but it’s lovely and the kids did an outstanding job on this one.

We started the 2nd week of Art Camp studying Edouard Manet and painting his Yellow Rose. These kids did a GREAT job with this one. First we created our own color wheels and talked about color mixing and that allowed us to get a good idea of how to make our paintings look like Manet’s. Today we study Monet.
