As I am away on a little Birthday Vacation I am taking loads of photos that will serve as reference material later. An early morning walk provided much inspiration. Plus a little double rainbow after the late afternoon rain yesterday. Beautiful views at Fernandina Beach Florida!

We painted these large canvases with palette knives last night at The Studio. And everyone did amazing work and were surprised at how fast these came together. Nice work ladies! I had my final session with the Virginia International Academy students yesterday. This group has been such a bright spot for me. They have been receptive to trying new styles and techniques and have made some beautiful art. They told me they are anxious to take it home to China this summer for their families to see. Yesterday they wanted to paint a beach scene so we did a large canvas. Great work!

At Art Camp yesterday our great young painters recreated Paul Gauguin’s “Tahitian Landscape”. And what beautiful recreations they made! Just take a look. They are terrific. And we do get a little paint on us when we work, don’t we Sloan? LOL

We painted beach scenes at a special class yesterday at The Studio with a day care group. From time to time we get special groups in for a class. They did a great job painting this summer scene. Good work everyone!
