Another String Quilt

Just complete another String Quilt for the upcoming class on Sunday. This one is from a jelly roll so the strips are more uniform than the first one. (See it here.) The classes on Sunday is the first in a series of Block of the Month quilt classes that we are going to be holding at The Studio over the course of this next year. Wilma’s Pumpkin Table Runner

When we had the Pumpkin or Christmas Tree Rag Quilt Class last week Wilma wanted to make hers a table runner instead of a quilt so this is what we came up with. It turned out great! It’s a combination of Quilt as You Go and Applique. Great work Wilma. I love it! We will have a different Table Runner class coming up soon that will be perfect for Thanksgiving. Watch for it.

Painting Fall Pumpkins

We had a great fundraiser for Living Water Christian Churches Mission Fund last night. Everyone did a great job painting this fall scene. Beautiful work for a great cause!

Team Building with Davita

Yesterday the team from Davita came to The Studio to create their annual team building painting. This year they chose a 4 Seasons Tree. Great job! They’ll take the individual canvases and join them, do a little touch up, and hang it at their business. They’ve done several other projects with us in past. You can see 2017 project here, the 2018 here, and the 2019 here. Team Building projects are a great outing for your employees…it’s fun and it builds communication skills as well as team work. Painting a Live Set-up

We had a great afternoon of painting at The Farm at Clover Hill yesterday. What fun to select some beautiful flower stems, arrange them, and then paint. SO MUCH FUN!!!! And everyone did a beautiful job on their canvases. Paintng from life is a little more challenging than painting from a photo but everyone was up to the task and went for it! Nice work. Looking forward to another chance to paint at Clover Hill. Thanks Susie for having us.

Friends Painting Together

Nothing is more fun than a group of friends painting together. These girls are friends since high school and came from Maryland to meet at the home of a friend for a weekend of fun. A Panel Quilt with Cats

Still having a great time with fabric….making quilts. This one has a pre-printed panel of amazing cats! We are adding fabric borders to make a great little quilt. There are tons of pretty patterns out there. We’ll have a session at The Studio soon so watch for it.

Kids, Gnomes and Pumpkins
