Over the past few weeks my international students have been working on a palette knife painting. They really enjoyed doing this one.

Our kid’s classes produce some amazing art in just one hour. The Wednesday Kid’s class (for ages 8-12) painted these great Bees yesterday. Older kids (teenagers) join us in our adult class on Wednesdays. In that class they can paint whatever they choose and develop their own style a little more.
Emily is new to the adult class and she is doing great. She has created this character that she drew and painted and she is even creating a story that goes along with her. Love it!

One of the things I like best about crochet is that you can make just about anything with yarn. I’ve made blankets and vests and slippers and dog sweaters and on and on. I like making these soft baskets that can hold all kinds of things including more yarn! You can never have enough yarn in your stash! LOL!

I’m always working on ideas that might work for a class or workshop at The Studio. I’ve been wanting to do some patriotic themed projects so I made this Rag Quilt based on our flag. We may schedule it as a workshop but it did take longer than I thought it would so it would take several sessions to complete….but I really like it. What do you think?

Lately I have been fascinated with Barn Quilts. I don’t know why but I love how they look. So I thought we might try a painting of a barn with a quilt design…and then who know, we may end up making our own barn quilt to hang on a barn or shed. Wouldn’t that be fun?! (The Barn Quilt Paint Party will be on Tuesday, April 4th.
