Now is the time to start making plans for Holiday Parties. We are scheduling now for November and December. Nothing could be more fun than getting your girls together to laugh and create. Or maybe you’d like to to have a family event with the kids and grands! And now, with all that is happening, we are offering small group parties for 5 to 10 people. And frankly, The Studio could use your HELP! Please consider booking a party between now and the end of the year to help us keep us going. This year has been especially tough and we would appreciate the support. So contact Kelly now. All days are available except Wednesdays. We can do morning, afternoon or evening events. Pick a date and contact kwalker@kellywalkerstudios.com to put it on the calendar. Then gather a few friends and select and image. It can be anything….and with the holidays coming we have some fun holiday images. And those who organize the event will get a gift certificate toward a Paint Party in 2021! Plan some fun today! Thanks.

This has been the longest break I have ever taken from the Life of a Daily Painter blog. I had knee replacement 12 days ago and this one was a little tougher than the one I had four years ago on the other knee. But I’m up and going. Heading back to class this morning and hoping that I have the stamina to get through it. I know that slow and easy wins this race but when you are self-employed you don’t get the luxury of going too slow. So wish me luck as I head back to work. Lincoln has to sit today out which will not make him happy but he’ll be able to join me soon. Thanks for all the well wishes. It’s not pretty but I’m getting there!!!

I have been away from the blog for a week or so because last Thursday I had a partial knee replacement and am home recovering. This one has been a little different from the one I had 4 years ago….but I am doing well and getting better slowly. I started PT Monday and go again today. I am anxious to get up and going and am a little impatient that it is slower than I want. Many thank to all my friends who have come by, walked Lincoln, brought food and sent well wishes for my recovery. I appreciate it so much. And a special shout out to Sister who came from Georgia and took care of me. She made everything so much easier and being spoiled was really nice! I’m sharing with you today this special art…a Get Well card…that my sweet little friend Charlotte made for me. It is my new favorite thing!

We just wrapped up our 6th Artist Retreat at Capon Springs and Farm in beautiful West Virginia. And Peggy and her son, Chris, have attended each one. I met Peggy and Chris at Capon and they have been a delight to paint with over these 6 retreats. Nice work guys and can’t wait till we paint together again!
