I have been away from the blog for a week or so because last Thursday I had a partial knee replacement and am home recovering.   This one has been a little different from the one I had 4 years ago….but I am doing well and getting better slowly.  I started PT Monday and go again today.  I am anxious to get up and going and am a little impatient that it is slower than I want.  Many thank to all my friends who have come by, walked Lincoln, brought food and sent well wishes for my recovery.  I appreciate it so much.  And a special shout out to Sister who came from Georgia and took care of me.  She made everything so much easier and being spoiled was really nice!  I’m sharing with you today this special art…a Get Well card…that my sweet little friend Charlotte made for me.  It is my new favorite thing!

Bob Says…

 

The beauty of Bob Ross was that he made you feel like you could paint….even if you had never touched a brush.  His encouraging words have helped so many people over the years become painters…including me.  At the exhibit in Purcellville at the Franklin Parks Art Center the paintings were displayed along with some of his sayings.  Here are a few. 2015-02-17 06 40 43_resizedIt’s always a good day when I turn on the TV in the morning and hear Bob Ross talking about “happy little trees”.

Many of you have heard my story before but I started painting by watching Bob Ross on TV.  I have always said that his gift was that he can make anyone think they can paint.  He makes it look so easy.  I love it that he is still on TV to inspire others to begin painting.  You can catch him on CREATE channel and enjoy his happy trees and happy clouds.  🙂
