You may know that we offer Kid’s Art Class every Wednesday from 4:15-5:15 for ages 7-13 but did you know that we offer private lessons for younger kids. Here is Marie with her little painting of her pup that she did in two lessons with us. And Sophia and brother Joey did these lovely barn paintings this week at their lesson. A Small Landscape

This miniature landscape is one I did a few months ago but haven’t had time to post. The canvas measures 4 1/8″x 5″ and the completed size in the frame is 8 1/4″ x 9″. This one is available for $75. Paper Towel Painting?

kids-trees-on-wc-paper This week at our Kid’s Painting class we learned that you don’t always have to use a brush to make a beautiful painting. We used paper towels to create these “Fall Abstract Trees” on watercolor paper.

Aren’t they FABULOUS??!!

“Where the Wild Things Are”

oxbow-farm-field I am excited to be going to a fundraiser this weekend for the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center. (Check out there good work here.) And I was even more thrilled to be invited to donate a “Plein Air Private Session” as an auction item.

The event is going to be held at Oxbow Farm where I have painted in Plein Air many times thanks to the kind owner. This painting is one I did several years ago while out for a day of painting sunflowers. After painting the sunflowers (See it here) I turned around and this was the view. I loved it too. Actually there are no bad views there. It’s beautiful.

Fall Is Upon Us
