Catherine’s Gift

Catherine, one of the Wednesday morning Art Class students, recently completed this beautiful painting as a gift for her daughter. What a wonderful gift!!! Catherine has been coming to class for several years and enjoys the fellowship of the other artists who attend regular weekly classes. Kids Paint Negative

Yesterday at Kid’s Art class we had a smaller group because school was out for snow…and we like those days because we can try something different. We learned about negative painting. We started our painting by using a paper towel to dab colors onto our canvas like an abstract and then painted out everything on the edge to shape a bird. The kids loved the change and so did I.

Farm Animals II

Yesterday we painted two more farm animals in our series. (See the first two here.) The Goose and Sheep turned out great! These will make a beautiful grouping….and next month we will add two more. On November 17th at 2 pm we will paint a Cow and a Pig. Click here for more info and to register. Farm Animals!

These Two Always Makes Me Smile

And as I was going through them I came across two of my favorite paintings/drawings that I have seen all year….and they are both of Lincoln by his favorite little girl, Charlotte. I love these works of art so much!!!! And Lincoln loves Charlotte…and visa versa!

Wonderful Black Cats
