Many of these are the sample paintings and quilts we have created for classes and paint parties we have held. We will be adding to this category every day. Don’t Let the Virus Kill Art!

“The Gardener”

This current situation will kill many, many small businesses. It is difficult for us to close for a month without severe ramifications. The Studio is going to continue to be open. We have sanitized all surfaces and are taking all precautions but we will remain open. We hope to have you come and paint with us. We encourage you to review some of the past images we have painted that you may have missed and yet wanted to do. Now is the time. Just pick your image (and there are tons of them including but not limited to the ones shown here), contact kwalker@thestudioforlearning.com or call her at 540-683-9688, and arrange an appointment to come paint. We will sketch the canvas and have it ready for you to come paint. Please help The Studio remain open if you can by continuing to come in and paint. Thanks!

Cross class We had a great session yesterday afternoon…into the evening…making these beautiful Easter Cross quilts. Nice work everyone. The fabrics were beautiful. Such nice choices all around. Garden Gates

It’s time to plan for the summer sessions of Art Camp at The Studio. Take a look at the great themes we’re having this year. Schedule your young painter for one session or several. It’s a great learning experience while the kids have fun creating some beautiful art.

Here is the 2020 schedule with themes:
Ages 5 – 7 (10 am – Noon) $65 per session
June 22-23, 2020 – Camp #2 – Animals on Safari
June 25-26, 2020 – Camp #3 – On the Farm
July 6-7, 2020 – Camp #5 – The Impressionists
July 27-28, 2020 – Camp #- 7 Just Van Gogh
Ages 8 – 13 (9 am- Noon) $160 per session
June 15-18, 2020 – Camp #1 – Just Van Gogh
June 29- July 2, 2020 – Camp #4 – Animals on Safari

Kids Paint Pot of Gold

Three Winners!

3 Winners We have three terrific classes coming up this week. On Friday, we will be painting “The Old Gate” in a small format that includes the frame. This will be a fun one to do and you will leave with a beautiful painting framed up and ready to hang …. or that will make a perfect Mother’s Day gift! 🙂 Click here to register for it.
