I just got a couple of quilts back from the longarmer. I was excited to finish this one…made with Moda’s Farmstead panel. It is so cute with all the farm animals. It’s not huge, just 52″x52″ but it is so adorable we wouldn’t be able to stand it if it was bigger. LOL!

Teresa and Jackie recently registered for these Paint Parties but had to miss them at the last minute so they came last night during our regular Wednesday Night Adult Art Class and painted them. We recreated the Dutch painter, Jan Mankes, Wyandotte (Rooster) with a Tin Plate from 1913 yesterday at our Famous Painter Class. We had an enthusiastic group and they all did an amazing job with their paintings. Fabulous work everyone! Our next Famous Painter session will be Sunday, November 10th. Watch for what we will recreate. It’s coming soon.

I’ve written before about my student, Dianne, who brings her out of town friends to The Studio when they visit so they can paint a memory to take home. (See more here.) This week she brought her friends from Florida, Mary and Rick, who painted these lovely canvases. Great work!!!! Come visit and paint with us again soon.

In December I got a call about a new student, interested in learning to paint…could she join one of our classes? Of course, I asked if she had any experience painting and her age. No experience….and she’s 90. She’s 90!!!!! And she is here at The Studio learning something new. It’s never too late to learn to do something creative. And Matilde is our example.
