San Francisco Giants AT&T Park

San Francisco Giants
AT&T Park

This is number 8!  I finished the home of the San Francisco Giants, AT&T Park.  This one is so different from all the others as it has water behind it instead of skyscrapers.  I loved working on this one.

PNC Park 90% Kickstarter 17 hours leftI worked all this week on PNC Park in Pittsburgh.  It has to be one of the best views from a park but all the detail makes it difficult to paint.  I am almost finished with it and should finish it up today but I wanted to share it with you as the last few hours of my Kickstarter project wind down.  Just to update you on where I am with the project, it appears that no one has ever painted all 30 Ball Parks during one season so I’ll be the first.   Woo Hoo!  And as of the writing this morning the project has been pledged at 110% so as long as this holds by midnight tonight my project will be funded.  Yippee!  Please know how much I appreciate everyone who has pledged to support this project.  You can’t know how much your encouragement means to this painter.  Many, many thanks!  PNC is the 5th painting in the series and I will be starting number 6 today.

It’s not too late to be a part of this history making project.  Click on this link and pledge to get in on it before midnight tonight.  Thanks again!

I was asked about the process I use in painting one of the ball fields for my Kickstarter Project – Painted Diamonds.  So I tried to take photos while I worked on the painting of the Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field to show you the progress.  Sometimes I get so involved that I forget to take a picture but you get the idea.

Wrigley -Step 7

Every artist works differently.  I usually start at the top and work in the basic shapes moving toward the subject matter that is closest to the viewer at the end and then go back in to put details.  That’s the great thing about painting.  There is no right or wrong way as long as the end result makes you happy then you did it just right!

Wrigley is the 4th painting in the series of 30 that I am painting for my Kickstarter Project- Painted Diamonds – where I will be painting every Major League Baseball park before the World Series this year.

Fenway Park is 95% Complete

Fenway Park is 95% Complete

Fenway Park is 95% done.  Each of these paintings is so interesting to work on.  I’ve discovered things about them that I never noticed before.  And with Boston I wanted to be sure to add the “B Strong” logo somewhere.

Now I am on to Wrigley.  The Kickstarter Project has 7 more days to get funded and I’m at 89%.  Please take a minute to go to this link and make a pledge to help me reach the goal.  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/168684256/painted-diamonds-30-ball-parks-in-30-weeks?ref=city

Thank you!

Camden Yards in the making

I have just 17 days to go for my Kickstarter Project to get funded and it’s at 71% this morning.  Many thanks to everyone who has already pledged to make the project work.  Your help is greatly appreciated.   I am so anxious to do this project and really want to get it funded.  Many people have congratulated me on the project and asked about it and have told me they are not familiar with Kickstarter. Click here to see my project.   Here is a little more about how Kickstarter works:

Kickstarter is a way for creative people to get projects funded.  You go to the site and read about a project then click on the green button and make a pledge at the level you wish to help.  As you read about the project you see that you get rewards for different levels of pledges.  So choose your reward and make a pledge.  You can help by pledging as little as $1 and every bit adds up to get to the goal of 100%.  I must get to 100% for the project to work.  Anything less than that and the pledges will NOT be collected.  So I’m asking you PLEASE make a pledge today.  Help me with this project.  As far as we can find no one has ever painted all 30 Baseball Parks and certainly not in 30 weeks.  Help make me the first.  Thanks so much for your consideration and I’d appreciate it if you share this with your friends by clicking the Facebook or other share buttons below this post.  Thanks again.
