Abstract Pats Fav Pat’s Favorite is an acrylic abstract, 12″ x 12″, on gallery wrap canvas.  From time to time one of my students wants to experiment with abstract.  That happened last week in art class so this is the demonstration painting that I did while explaining abstract.

One of my favorite students, Pat (see her here), is not a fan of  abstract so I named this for her.  🙂

Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, is the 16th ball park in the series of 30.  More than half way now.  Woo Hoo!  This field is another of the domed fields.  I don’t find them as interesting to paint as the open air fields.

Paint Party JulyThe terrific thing about painting is that anyone can do it.  If you have the desire to paint,  you can learn to paint.  Paint Parties are a chance to learn something new with a great group of friends.  A little food, a little drink, a lot of laughing.  And in the end you have  a new painting.  Why don’t you get a group together for a party of your own?

Last night we had a fabulous group of painters for their second party and look at the wonderful work they did!  Super work everyone!!!  It was so much fun.  Read more about paint parties here.

U. S. Cellular Field
Chicago White Sox

U. S. Cellular Field is the home of the Chicago White Sox.  It is number 14 in the series of 30 that I am painting and the only field painted as a night scene.  This field is distinguished by the “exploding scoreboard” that shoots off fireworks after a home run or a win and it is topped by spinning pinwheels.
