Last night we had an enthusiastic group recreating Van Gogh’s Wild Roses at our Famous Painter night. They are beautiful! And we have one more…..when Debbie finishes hers we’ll share it! 🙂 Our next Famous Painter night will be Tuesday, September 28th. Mark your calendar because this one has a special story. More in the next few days. (How’s that for a tease?)

Yesterday we introduced the male Cardinal to our little bird series. Today it’s the female. Join us in October to paint this one. Here is the link for registration. And you can click here to see all the events we have coming up at The Studio. Invite a friend and come see us soon!

A terrific group of painters yesterday painting their pets….or pets for friends. What an amazing gift! Join us for the next session of Pet Portraits….the next one on a Sunday for a change. Click here for more information and to register.

Did you know that once a month at The Studio we feature “Famous Painter Nights”. This is where we recreate a famous painting and talk about the artist. This month we are featuring Van Gogh’s Wild Roses. Anyone can do this and by recreating a famous work of art you learn so much about color mixing and design. Why not join us? The next session is on Tuesday, August 24th at 6 pm. Click here for more info and to register.

There was a lot of fun and laughter as we worked on our palette knife butterflies last night at The Studio. What fun and creativity! I love the color selections. Nice work all around! Watch for another palette knife class soon.

Cooper is headed home….to Florida. I’ve done other commissions for Cooper’s dad of his other dogs and since Cooper joined the family this past year he needed a portrait too. I think pet portraits are still my favorite!

Remember last week when I said I was working on a new rag quilt design? (See that here.) Well, here it is….a new pumpkin/fall design. This one is made from 80 squares. It took a little time since there are so many squares so it may be difficult to do as a class…..but maybe a full day workshop at The Studio could cover it or I have another design with just one large pumpkin that might be better for a class. What do you think?

It was Team Bride at The Studio yesterday as a delightful group of ladies celebrated their friend and family member as she gets ready to get married. They all did an amazing job painting hydrangeas and now all have a wonderful memory of their day together. A paint party is a great way to celebrate!

And of course, Lincoln enjoyed being with the Bride-to-Be!

Sandra came by this week and finished her Haybales painting from last week’s paint party. It turned out terrific. And look how good it looks in her home. Fabulous!!!!
