Our first Block of the Month groups continued yesterday working toward their sampler quilts. We are almost there as we did block #9 and #10 – the Virginia Reel and the Dutchman’s Puzzle. These were a little more challenging than some of the others we have done but as you can see everyone did great! We only have two blocks left and then we will start putting them together. I can not wait to see them come together and see how everyone’s fabric choices turn out. Stay tuned for more next month. If you are interested in giving quilting a try we have another Block of the Month group starting on June 18th. We have two seats left so register now if you would like to learn or improve your quilting skills. Click here to register.
I painted this one about 8 or 9 years ago out on the porch at The Studio as motorcycles road down Main Street heading to DC for Rolling Thunder. As they passed by and saw what I was doing they blew their horns and yelled encouragement. I have always loved this one both for the subject matter and for the memory that goes with it.
It’s time to get your young artists registered for Art Camp for this summer. Check out the schedule here and register today. There is still space available. But don’t wait as the sessions are filling fast.
I finally got Lincoln off of my quilt long enough to finish it. I love it! I found the coffee saying fabric at a quilt show and then found the cups and beans fabric at Michael’s. I love how it turned out. A FUN quilt!
Wednesday Kids Class painted Koi Fish swimming in class this week. They look GREAT! And Lincoln thought so too! It’s almost time for Art Camp for Kids to begin. Be sure to check out the schedule and register your young painter for a fun session of painting! Click here for more information.
Turning an image into a painting using paper is a fun project. Tearing the paper and arranging it is so satisfying. Join us at The Studio soon to give it a try.
Just learned to make these little freestyle birds. I love them. And it is so much fun to work without a pattern. Just GO FOR IT!!! I see a quilt coming soon…..or at least a tablerunner. 🙂
