Yesterday we ended this session of Art Camp with a large Van Gogh painting. And what a terrific job these artists did on this one! Van Gogh’s “The Cafe Terrace on the Place du Forum, Arles at Night” has lots of colors and angles and these kid’s paintings are outstanding. Great, great job!!!
There is only one session of Art Camp left. It’s next Monday-Tuesday, August 11-12 for ages 5-7.

Yesterday we painted our versions of Mary Cassatt’s Lilacs in the Window. Beautiful work kids!
Today is our final day of camp and we will be painting a Van Gogh! Tune in tomorrow to see how it turns out!

The Railway by Edouard Manet
Art Camp continued yesterday with us studying Edouard Manet. We painted a portion of “The Railway”. We selected the inset of the puppy napping in the woman’s lap. Great job kids!!!

Famous Painters Art Camp for Kids started yesterday with a wonderful Van Gogh painting. The kids did a terrific job in their study of Van Gogh’s “Sprig of Almond in a Glass”. Good work!

August Paint Party-Lavender
Yesterday we had our 1st Saturday Paint Party and boy did these ladies do a wonderful job. We painted a beautiful little landscape with a feature of Lavender. Nice job.

What a great day we had yesterday! The Ribbon Cutting was well attended. Thanks to everyone who came out to help celebrate the opening of The Studio. We were so excited for the response.
And all day we had people coming in for the “Make & Take” projects for our Grand Opening….lots of kids and adults! It was terrific.

We are very excited about the venture. We are offering classes and workshops for a variety of skill levels ranging from the absolute beginner exploring a new craft to the experienced and seasoned artist or craftsman.

If you have something creative that you would like to teach The Studio space is available for rent for small groups whether for workshops, classes or parties at a very reasonable rate.

The Main Street Travel mural got chairs yesterday. Now that everything is laid in I can go back and start with some details. Still several more hours to get done but it’s coming along. Just hoping to get it all done before they put carpet on the floor so I don’t have to be “extra” careful. 🙂
