Who wants to make a really unique quilted jacket? And the best part is you can either design the blocks you love best for the jacket or use a quilt already made that you don’t mind cutting up! This class is going to help you learn a really easy way to make a jacket…..plus it’s super comfortable and fashionable! Take a look at the info here and be sure to register early as space is limited for this class. If you have done any quilt work at all, you can do this.

Rebekah came to Hickory Hill Studio on Sunday to start putting her cute applique blocks together. She also added little name tags to each block. She got these three put together….now just 9 more to go! I can’t wait to see it all together. Nice work girl!

Farmstead Quilt

I just got a couple of quilts back from the longarmer. I was excited to finish this one…made with Moda’s Farmstead panel. It is so cute with all the farm animals. It’s not huge, just 52″x52″ but it is so adorable we wouldn’t be able to stand it if it was bigger. LOL!

We love seeing big rolls of hay out in the pastures. Makes me wish we had one of these balers instead of the smaller square ones that we had on the farm I grew up on. It always makes me think of the hard, hot work of loading those square bales on the trailer and then unloading them in the barn. Really hard and hot sticky work. We will be painting this image at an upcoming Paint Party. Check out the info here and register to join us.

Everyone did a great job on these colorful placemats that we made at the Thursday Table Topper class. Beautiful!

Our Saturday Table Topper class did a great job on their placemats last week. Rebekah, Becky and Paula finished theirs and several others will soon. Nice work ladies!

Well, it’s finally done! The blocks for this Bitty Block quilt has been hanging on the design wall in The Studio for months. I finally decided this past month to get serious and get it off the wall! All the blocks are 2, 3 and 4 inches each. So here it is….at least the top is done. Now it needs to go to a longarmer to finish it up. I’ll keep you posted. And there has been some interest as a “Block of the Month”….maybe an at home project.

Didn’t these Pet Portraits turn out GREAT???!!! And several of our painters were at The Studio for the first time. We had a great afternoon painting. Last week Dianne brought her grandson Ryan who was visiting for the week to paint with her at class. He did a great job. He had been to The Studio in November of 2022 when he painted a picture of Lincoln. He told me he had that painting hanging in his bedroom at home. Take a look below at how Ryan has grown in the last 2 1/2 years!

Last week we painted these cute little village scenes. Great job everyone! Take a look at what’s coming up next to paint at The Studio by clicking here: https://thestudio-104116.square.site/
