It’s no secret that one of my favorite things to do is the Pet Portraits Parties. I love seeing everyone’s pets and hearing their stories. Some people have come numerous times to not only paint their pets but friend’s pets too. Lisa painted this one recently as a gift and the recipient sent her this cute photo of Fleetwood. I think they like it!

We had a great crochet class this afternoon. It was cold and rainy outside which is the perfect weather for crochet! We learned the pattern for an asymmetrical scarf. Here are three different ones, using different weights of yarn but the same basic pattern. (The borders are different).

A couple of weeks ago I told you about the invitation participate in an upcoming show at Belle Grove. (Read about that here.) As the space we are showing, a historic home, offers some challenges for “showing” the work I have started painting some small pieces that will be easily placed on easels or placed on mantel pieces. Yesterday I started a few. Here’s one I’m working on now of the Plantation Office which is one of the rooms where my art will be shown. More to come…..

Lincoln has been waiting for this day! He is Mr. February in the Humane Society’s calendar. And he thinks he looks good. He chose this photo of his with “Possum” while they were napping. He said he’s so glad that everyone can look at him for this whole month! 🙂

I came across a huge box of crocheted items that I have used as examples for classes we have had in the past few years. I need to lighten the load so we are having a sample sale at The Studio.
Everything is rock bottom priced…..hats are $8 for kids hats; $10 for adult hats; $12-15 for scarves. Stop by for a bargain.

Spent the day working on a new Rag Quilt design for an upcoming class. This one had little blocks with saying on them centered on other fabric designs. Trying to find a way to make an easy quilt for people who don’t sew a lot but won’t a special quilt. Hoping to have the clipping done and a couple of washes tomorrow.
