Sometimes we get requests for family members to come to a regular weekly class to paint together especially in the summer when people have time or are in from out of town. Yesterday was one such case. These three ladies chose to paint the “Tree Swing” and there was lots of fun and laughs. They did a terrific job and can you believe a couple of them had never painted before. Awesome!

I am always telling students to try different frames on their art to see what enhances it. Here is an example. Yesterday’s Summertime Landscape shown in four different frames. What do you think?

Creating with paper is fun! Here is the Sunflower that I started at the Capon Springs retreat. I love the many different papers that make up the petals.

I am so proud of my niece, Morgan Walker. She is a graphic artist making some awesome designs. Take a look at her website here to see some of what she does. Yesterday I received a wonderful gift from her…this lovely Mountain Sunset pin. She said she made it with me in mind. I love that!!! I am hoping that soon she will be taking orders for her amazing pet portraits. I can’t wait to have her create a wonderful work of art of my Jed and Lincoln.
