What a great group of quilters at The Studio yesterday evening and today at The Studio to make these super cute LONG Dog & Cat Bed Runners. So ADORABLE!!!!! Nice work Celeste, Kelly, Connie and Rebekah! I love what y’all did with these. Can’t wait to see them with the bindings on.

From time to time I get requests for private lessons when grandchildren are here visiting their grandparents in the local community. That happened yesterday when I got to work with Emma and Zoe. They are in from New York spending time in the area and their grandmother hooked them up with an art lesson. They did great!

We had such an amazing group of painters yesterday for Pet Portraits at The Studio. And they did a terrific job painting these gorgeous pets! Nice work all around. The next session for painting pets is October 20th. Space is limited so register early. Click here for more info and to register.

We had a great time working with palette knives yesterday at The Studio. Everyone embraced the process and just loosened up and went with it. They turned out great!

We had our first Paint & Sip at the beautiful Reitano Vineyard last night and it was a huge success! Everyone did an amazing job painting a scene of the vineyard while sipping a little wine, enjoying some terrific snacks and having a great time with friends. If you missed it, you missed a great event. But don’t worry….we will be doing another one on Thursday, September 12th. So plan to come for the next one. You’ll be glad you did. Watch for the registration information coming soon.

Here is the beautiful painting that Savannah completed tonight at class. She is starting her senior year next week. So hard to believe. She has been painting with us at The Studio since she was in the 8th grade. We love having her at The Studio. Lincoln especially loves her. She is a very good painter and as busy as her life is (and is going to be this year) we are so glad that she still comes to paint with us when she can. Great job Savannah! I got the most beautiful Studio Anniversary surprise yesterday from my student and friend, Dianne. She put into words exactly what I had hoped The Studio would become – a place for people to gather and create and feel as if they are a part of the Front Royal community. Thank you Dianne for putting it in works…and “Keep up the Good Work”!

Yesterday at The Studio we painted from a photo a friend had shared on Facebook a few months ago of some beautiful hollyhocks growing by an old blue shed. When I saw it I immediately thought it would make a great painting. So I asked Lucy if she allow us to use her photo as reference for out Hollyhock painting. She was delighted that we wanted to do it. And so we did….and everyone created a beautiful work of art based on Lucy’s Hollyhocks! Great work everyone!!!!

August Banner class was so much fun as these quilters made these lovely sailboat banners. They are so cute! Nice work ladies. Keep watching for the next monthly series to be announced soon.
