Last month when Sister was here for my birthday we went to The Mud Peddler Studio in Shepherdstown to celebrate her birthday. She had received a gift certificate to work with the amazing Denise Kupiszewski, pottery artist extraordinaire. We had a great time creating yard art animals. Sister made these terrific fish and I made bunnies. It was so much fun. Denise delivered them yesterday so now they will go to Georgia to sit on some bamboo poles in Sister’s garden by the water. I love them!

Come on Sunshine!

VIA Finger Paints Koi

We had a busy afternoon at The Studio yesterday.  First, our 1st Saturday Paint Party saw us painting the Koi Fish Pond…using our fingers.  That was so much fun.  Then we had two private Paint Parties with excited painters….many giving it a try for the first time.  It’s always a good time introducing new people to painting and helping those who already paint learn even more.  A great day at The Studio.

While visiting family after Christmas my niece,  Morgan, a graphic arts major in her last semester in college showed me some of her work.  She has a terrific imagination.  I loved this wall hanging with fish.  I wish you could have seen how they were 3D and popped off the fabric.  Beautiful!  Nice work Morgan.

Lincoln and Friends

Lincoln loves the Koi fish at the pond in front of the cabin. He will stand in the water waiting for them to come to him for 20 minutes. I have to call him out of the water or he would never leave his water friends.

Lincoln continues to be fascinated by the large Koi fish in the pond at the cabin.  He wades into the water and watches them….and they watch him.

If I am ever unsure of where he’s run off to, I can take a look down in the water and he is often sitting there watching his fish.
