Fall is arriving quickly so our painting for the 1st Saturday Paint Party on October 1st will of course, be fallish! You can choose from a Pumpkin Patch or a Fall Tree. What a fun way to celebrate such a special event with friends…especially when many of these friends work at the Conservation Research Center here in Front Royal and they decide to paint Pet Portraits. It was perfect. And everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves so much as we celebrated the bride. Then they left with beautiful paintings of their pets (or favorite animals because I am pretty sure that the one lady doesn’t keep a Bongo in her backyard)!

One of my favorite Paint Party students, Liz, set up a private party for her support group and friends on Monday. They painted hydrangeas. Many of them had never painted before…and they loved it….and did GREAT! Good job everyone.

Paint Parties at The Studio are so much fun but Birthday Parties are especially fun! Especially when it’s your 9th Birthday and all your friends join you got the celebration. Yesterday Alayna celebrated her birthday by painting a lovely beach scene with a sea turtle (her special request for the party). And boy did these girls do a fabulous job painting!!! They are just so good. I love how they jump right in. Her mom said that a couple of the girls were a little scared at first but once they saw how we go step by step and demonstrate how to do it and come around and check on their progress they were just fine.
We always say that everyone can make a beautiful work of art at The Studio. And it’s true. Just look at these young artists works. AWESOME!!!
