A group of students from The Studio’s Wednesday morning and evening classes went to Richmond to see the Frida exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art. It was a wonderful day of art, laughter and fellowship! The exhibit was very interesting and confirmed what a tragic life she led. We saw several of her paintings including several self portraits as well as some amazing photography. If you are in the Richmond area while the exhibit is underway it would be worth your time. See more information here.

Celeste, on the right, is visiting her son and daughter in law, Katrina, on the left, and wanted to paint again at The Studio. She came to paint with us when she was visiting last year and loved it so much she wanted to paint again. We’re so glad she did! Great job ladies. This will be a fun painting to display throughout the holiday season. Can’t wait for your next visit Celeste!
