Camp 6 Day 2 Cezanne Still Life

Yesterday we studied Cezanne at Art Camp and painted Apples & Pear, a still life, just like Cezanne’s.  And these kids are AMAZING!  Look at what a great job they all did.

And when we had a few extra minutes at the end of Monday and Tuesdays sessions we put it to good use and created a collage painting of this little bird.  Beautiful!

Camp 6 Day 1 OKeeffe Barn.jpgWe studied Georgia O’Keeffe at Art Camp yesterday and recreated the beautiful Red Barn that she painted in 1928.  They look GREAT!  Nice work painters.

Camp 5 Day 4 Van Gogh 1We wrapped up this session of Art Camp with a lovely, large painting of Van Gogh’s “Vase with Carnation and other Flowers”, originally painted in 1886.  This is one you don’t see very often but it’s lovely and the kids did an outstanding job on this one.

Art Campers painted like Matisse yesterday.  We did this beautiful interior painting.  Nice work girls.

Then the Kids Class in the afternoon painted lavender fields.  Beautiful!

Camp 5 Day 1 Van Gogh WheatfieldCamp 5 Day 1 Van Gogh Wheatfield 2We paint Van Gogh’s Wheatfield with Crows yesterday at Art Camp.  It is thought to be one of his  last paintings.  The kids did an excellent job on it as they learned about Post-impressionism and Van Gogh’s short, choppy strokes.  Great work everyone!  Art Camp continues today…..with Warhol!

The young art campers painted a “Renoir” yesterday at The Studio.  They did great on a really difficult painting.  All these young artists are terrific.  I love seeing how proud they are when their parents/grandparents have their work framed.  Keep Painting everyone!
