When the kids did the Farm Animal week at Art Camp this summer many of you who follow The Studio posts said “Let’s do it too!” So we have figured out a way to make that happen. We will paint a series of 8 Farm Animals by painting two per session on 8″x8″ canvas. This will make a nice grouping. The first two sessions are set up and you can click here to see more and to register. The first is on September 15th and we will paint a rooster and a donkey. The second session is on October 13th and we will paint a sheep and a duck.
The final day of Art Camp had us painting a cow! Of course, we had to have a cow for our farm animal series. It was a great week of camp with the Farm Animal theme. We painted a landscape with a barn plus a rooster, a goose, a pig and a cow…a great week of camp! Now we have to set up a time for the adults to paint farm animals…that will come soon.
Yesterday we painted a nice landscape with a barn…a place for our farm animals to live! These kids are doing great! Today is our final day….we are painting a cow! After camp yesterday morning a friend called with her grandkids in town and they came by in the afternoon and painted the same scene. Nice work done in a quick class.
Because we have a small group painting this week, and all of them are veterans of Art Camp, we are moving right along in our plan to paint as many farm animals as possible. Yesterday we completed two! We had time on Monday to do the background for one so it made it easy to get an extra one done. So now we have a goose (or duck) and a Rooster to add to our Farm Animal series. Wonderful!
At Day 1 of the Farm Animal Art Camp we painted pigs…and not just any pigs. These are amazing pigs! Great work everyone!!!
Yesterday we had a fun little group of girls painting Hedwig and talking Harry Potter. Didn’t they do a GREAT job??!! We have one week of Art Camp left for ages 8-13 coming up August 5-8.
Yesterday we started our Farm Animal Art Camp for young painters ages 5-7 and we painted COWS! What a great job these young painters did on these. And they were such good listeners that we started another painting so if all goes well we finish it and another today. Stay tuned.
The kids painted these beautiful bird nests yesterday at class. Very good work!
