Nothing feels quite as good as getting your sewing space organized. It seems like it doesn’t take much time to get all scrambled and several times a year I have to take a day to get all the fabrics arranged again and tools put back in their places. It helps me to be able to find what I need. Lincoln seems happy about it. Now to start pulling some fabrics for the next project. WooHoo!

Sewing Camp Begins

Sewing Camp started yesterday with enthusiastic students. They made pillows and learn to sew with the machine and by hand. Great work everyone! Today they will finish their Rag Quilts and you can see them soon.

Eight years ago today we cut the ribbon and opened The Studio as a teaching studio on Main Street in Front Royal. What a day that was….and what an amazing 8 years that it has been! Who knew all the fun and creative things we would make…and who knew all the beautiful friendships that would form because of this creative place. We can’t thank everyone enough who has supported us in this endeavor. We love it and are so happy that many of you do too! Happy Anniversary to The Studio and here’s to several more years of making amazing things here!

Our 1 pm class for the Block of the Month sampler quilt just completed their final block…the Star of Virginia. NICE!!!! Aren’t they gorgeous???!!! Now next month they will begin joining them. The 4 pm class started joining theirs yesterday and they are coming together beautifully. Can’t wait for you to see them put together. But we’ll have to wait till next month. 🙂
