Art Camp 5-Day 2…Aladdin!

Our young artists painted Aladdin’s Lamp yesterday morning at Art Camp along with a little bonus painting….a little flower on a wood shingle. They did a great job painting these wonderful pieces. Nice work young painters!

This session of Art Camp is Movie Themes. Yesterday our young painters did a fabulous job painting Elsa from Frozen. Didn’t they do great work?! Today the young painters will be working on Aladdin’s Lamp!

Guests Come to Paint

You know we have ongoing weekly Art Classes for Adults and Kids at The Studio. These are held every Wednesday and Thursday. Click here for more information and details. And from time to time one of the regular students brings a friend with them to paint. This happened last week when Andrea’s friend Candy was visiting. They are both from New Hampshire originally and now Candy and her husband are traveling the country, living in their RV. I want to do that! It was so much fun hearing about her adventures while helping her create this little painting that will help her remember her time with us. Come join us for a class soon. You’ll love it too! Paper Painting

Family Painting Together

I love it when family comes to paint together. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with this young painter and his grandmother. They wanted to paint together. They came back last week to finish up their works. Very nice work….and so glad to have young excited painters at The Studio. Art Camp 4-Day 4- Warhol’s VW

Our young artists finished this session of Art Camp with a Warhol painting yesterday. They all got to select their own color scheme based on our discussions of color theory and the color wheel this week. They did an amazing job! Don’t you love them? Art Camp 4-Day 3- Monet

Monet was our subject of study at Art Camp yesterday. We recreated the Japanese Bridge at the Water Lily Pond. These look terrific! Nice work by these young painters. Art Camp continues today and we have a few more sessions this summer. Check out the schedule here.

Art Camp 4-Day 2 “Renoir”

Yesterday at Art Camp we discussed Pierre-Auguste Renoir and recreated one of his beautiful paintings. It was quite the challenge but these young painters went for it and did an excellent job. We learn so much by looking at these amazing historical pieces and trying to do the same type of work. And each day we build on what we learned the day before. These kids are to be commended for being fearless. There is nothing they won’t try on canvas. Great work everyone!!!! For more information on the rest of the summer’s schedule click here.

Art Camp 4 Underway
