The Tulip Farm

Sunflowers

Just finished this vintage ripple crochet throw from a pattern I found on Pinterest.  (I LOVE PINTEREST!)  It’s wonderfully bright and I like the use of double triple stitches to make the long shells.  Give it a try.  Click here to find the pattern.

Sophia’s Wave

Sophia with WaveFor the past several weeks Sophia has been working on a copy of a Japanese woodblock painting of the Wave.  Her aunt requested that she do it for her so she worked really hard on it to make it very nice.  And she did!  Excellent work Sophia!

Cat Cave Revisited

I worked up another “Cat Cave” recently for a friend’s cats.  I was using up some end pieces of skeins of yarn.  That is why it is multi-colored.   (See the first one I made here.)

We had a fun afternoon at a Bridal Show Paint Party at Shenandoah Shores yesterday.  What a fun way to entertain the guests.  After some really delicious food we painted some little owls, the bride’s favorite animal.  We had painters of all ages which made it even more fun.  Great job everyone!

Tree of Life

20160228_170317-1-1On Saturday, April 23rd at 3 pm we will be painting for a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels.  This is a wonderful program that provides hot meals to home bound seniors in our region. The program services  Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, or Warren County, and the City of Winchester.  We can use your help.  Come paint your choice of two selections and help this worthwhile cause. And make it a family affair. Family members can paint separate panels that will create one beautiful work of art to showcase in your home.

Fee includes everything needed to paint and light refreshments.

Tickets:  One painter $45-your choice of 16″x20″ Tree of Life or Field of Flowers painting.  Click here to register for 1 painter.

Two painters $80- two 12″x16″ canvas to create Field of Flowers painting.  Click here to register for 2 painters.
The Senior Center does great work for our community and they can always use donations. Bring any of the following items to help the Center and receive a $10 gift certificate to The Studio: Gallon Zip Lock Freezer Bags, Zip Lock sandwich bags and  quart bags, plastic cutlery, napkins, #10 fruit cans, fresh fruit, and cookies.  Help us help the community!
