Over the last few weeks I have been posting Art Camp student’s art and today I wanted to share my art class students latest works. Several have finished some really nice paintings and I wanted to show them off. Here is some of their most recent paintings:

The kids painted a nice landscape this week with a Belted Galloway. It’s from a photo I took when in Newport a few years ago. I love these Oreo cows. They looks so cool.
Good job kids with your paintings!
Here is my painting (right) along with the reference photo on the left. I swear these cows don’t even look real with their funny coloring!

My Wednesday Adult Class was jealous that I had only posted my young artist’s paintings recently so they posed for me last night. Here’s Pat with her terrific painting of Jack and Pokey. And Shelly is hiding behind the lovely door painting that she is working on this week. Nice job ladies.
And here are the young artists with their finished Jackson Pollack inspired drip painting. Excellent!

Having visited Sassafras Farm last week put me in the mood to add to my “Farm Animal” series. I took loads of new photos to work from so I will get started on those very soon.
Here is “Mr. Hyde”, an oil painting on canvas, measuring 8″x6″, that I painted from a previous trip there. This painting, along with others in the “Farm Animal” series is available at Delilah’s on Main Street in Front Royal.

Spent the last couple of days gathering up supplies to go to see my friend in West Virginia who is having me do some paintings on her new studio walls. She is Jack’s mom. This is Jack. He is part of the “Farm Animal” series that I painted a few years ago. I’m sure I will get loads more material to paint while there.
