A few weeks ago we experimented with multi-media collage work at The Studio. Boy was it fun. We used burlap panels, paint, Sharpies and beautiful scrapbook papers along with ModPodge to create these simple but lovely animal works of art. The kids did great in their class with these and I enjoyed the ones I did too! Super fun.(We did some cute dogs a few weeks ago with Sophia’s private lesson too and you can see that here.) I see a Paint Party for adults doing something like this coming soon.
Last night we made up a Pet Portrait Party that was canceled because of the snow storm. The paintings are GREAT! And no, Lauren does not have a pet dinosaur but her daughter likes them and she has already painted all of her pet’s portraits. 😉
Last week at our Famous Painters Party we painted a wonderful ode to Matisse. hey look GREAT! The next Famous Painter night is Tuesday, February 23rd at 6 pm and we will paint Cezanne.
Last year we started having a Paint Party once a month where we recreate a “Famous Painting” or paint in the style of a famous artist.
