Class Produces Beautiful Work

I teach three adult painting classes each week… Wednesday at 10:30 am or 5:30 pm and Thursday at 5:30. Each student paints whatever subject matter interests them and I help them individually. That way they get to paint something that they want not just what I choose for them. It also allows each person to develop their own style.

I love seeing what each students chooses. Yesterday both of the Wednesday classes had several people who completed paintings. Here are four of the Wednesday mornings painters with their finished work. Great job everyone!!!

Kathy started painting with me a few months ago and while she had only painted a couple of pieces she decided to tackle these BIG sunflowers….a screensaver photo from her phone. And didn’t she do a great job? She finished up last night just in time for her move. We hate that she is leaving us but wish her luck. And keep painting!

Kids Paint Bluebells

Almost every morning I walk my dogs along a path at the Shenandoah River down to the Dog Park. They love it and so do I. It’s a beautiful place in any season but it’s particularly lovely right now as the Bluebells are blooming. I posted several photos on my Facebook page earlier this week (check that out here) and everyone thought it would make a great painting. So at Kid’s Painting class yesterday they painted it. Great job everyone!

A New Student at TVOR

Every other Friday I teach art at The Village at Orchard Ridge in Winchester. This week one of my students called to ask if she could bring her granddaughter who was visiting her to art class. Of course!

And this little 4-year-old turned out to be a great little student. She had so much fun painting the two little canvases I brought for her. And didn’t she do a wonderful job. She was so excited to show her parents.
